Southern Bancorp Inc., along with its development partners Southern Bancorp Bank and Southern Bancorp Community Partners, is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) serving customers historically across the Mid-South.  As a CDFI, Southern Bancorp’s mission is to create economic opportunity in underserved communities by providing responsible, responsive, and innovative financial products and services that balance profits with purpose. 

In its efforts to reach the underserved, Southern Bancorp has leveraged Sidecore to create a growing portfolio of unique mobile products specifically targeted to help existing and new customers budget, save, and gain access to short term advances on reasonable terms. Customer reach has expanded significantly, with app downloads now coming from all 50 states. Notably, over 85% of these users live more than 40 miles from the nearest Southern branch. This widespread adoption highlights the growing demand for accessible financial solutions, regardless of geographic limitations.
